I have been working in the mental health and addictions field since moving to the Portland area in 2003, and have been in private practice since 2007. During this time, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families to address issues related to mental health, substance abuse, and gambling addiction, and the impact of these on relationships.
My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of Virginia, and a Master’s degree (M.S.) in Community Counseling and Specialist in Education degree (Ed.S.) in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
My certifications and licenses include: LPC--Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon CADC III--Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor III CGAC II--Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor II NCC--National Certified Counselor
In addition to my private practice, I have volunteered to serve on the board of the Oregon Counseling Association (ORCA) since 2004; my current position is Chair of the Sustainable Development Committee.
